The LCB announced to the Traceability workgroup yesterday evening that Leaf Data Systems will not be operational by November 1st and they will be implementing a contingency plan. There is no need to panic; we will assist BioTrackTHC customers with every step along the way to ensure a smooth and painless transition. Right now we do not have all of the relevant details, but we will continue to communicate with you as we learn more about the LCB’s contingency plan. As many of you have already heard, the LCB has officially announced to the Traceability workgroup that they will not be able to make the November 1st deadline to have Leaf Data Systems up and running and will be implementing a contingency plan. We do not have additional details at this time, but we will be sure to make you aware of any updates as they are received. As BioTrackTHC customers, this should have minimal effect on your day-to-day operations and we assure you that we will provide detailed instructions and assistance throughout this entire process.
Additional Information, as provided by the LCB:
- There will be no suspension of LCB traceability rules or requirements.
- Record keeping requirements remain intact and LCB Enforcement will be monitoring operations and inventory to ensure compliance and prevent inversion or diversion.
- Licensees may still conduct business operations with the above named exceptions.
- You will not need to close your business.
